Help
From browser to ImageBrowserPro
The website prepares reusable settings and text. The desktop app applies them to your photographs.
Metadata templates
- Fill in your metadata and review every field in the preview.
- Download the XMP template.
- In ImageBrowserPro, open the metadata stamping/template workflow and choose its XMP import control. Save the imported template with a name.
- Test on a disposable photograph. Review which fields will be applied before stamping real work.
Empty fields are omitted from the XMP. A template is not a command to erase existing metadata.
Caption recipes
- Name your recipe and enter a caption using field tokens such as {Team} or {Location}.
- Enter field defaults and inspect the resolved caption.
- Download the Shoot Setup JSON. In ImageBrowserPro’s Shoot Setup import screen, choose the setup format and review the imported fields and caption phrase.
- For CSV import, import Fields CSV first, then Caption phrases CSV using the corresponding import types. Review any existing field names and enable “Update matching entries shown below” only when you want the downloaded defaults to replace those existing defaults.
Caption phrases are different from filename recipes. For an existing field in the app, review its name and value before importing duplicates. Resolved text downloads contain the entered sample/default values.
Code replacements and rosters
- Add codes with one or more replacement values, or import a CSV or tab-delimited text table.
- Download tab-delimited text for exact app import. Spreadsheet CSV is also available.
- In ImageBrowserPro’s Code Replacement Manager, import the table, review it, save it, and enable it.
- Test a shortcut such as \8\. Alternate replacements use \8#2\.
The delimiter belongs to the app’s settings; it is not embedded in the table. CSV values beginning with spreadsheet formula characters are prefixed with an apostrophe. Use TXT when exact leading characters are needed in the desktop app.
Drafts and privacy
Draft contents are stored in this browser, not submitted to Django. No photos are uploaded and there are no analytics scripts. Clearing browser data or changing browsers can remove access to local drafts. Download a draft file for backup.
Only restore draft files from sources you trust. Restoring replaces this tool’s local draft after you confirm. Browser draft files are for this website; use the tool’s app export buttons for ImageBrowserPro.
After beta
Browser Pro Studio sign-in and a private template library are planned. Existing local drafts will move into an account only when you explicitly import them.
